The Shades House is the residential brand of PS Home Group — a window-treatment manufacturer with production in Korea, China, Vietnam and Turkey that has spent fifteen years supplying hotels, schools and commercial projects by the container. The name is new. The factories, the crew and the way we measure are not.
We are a manufacturer first. For most of the last fifteen years the window side of the group has been wholesale: our own production facilities in Korea, China, Vietnam and Turkey, fitting out hotels, schools and commercial projects — work we still do today.
That kind of work teaches you things a showroom never will. A two-hundred-room hotel does not forgive a shade that is an inch narrow, a fabric that fades in a year or a bracket that rattles. So the spec got tighter, the quality control got stricter, and the sample library got very large.
The Shades House is that same product, made by the same people in the same factories, finally sold one house at a time. Because we make what we sell, the fabric book is ours, the lead time is ours, and nobody in the chain is marking it up before it reaches your kitchen table.
What has not changed is the part that matters: somebody from this company comes to your house, measures every window individually, writes the price down, and then the same company installs it. No franchise crew, no “measure it yourself and we’ll ship it” — both of those are how blinds end up wrong.

How it got here.
2011 → today
2011
PS Home Group starts in Alpharetta
One crew, one van, and fitted work in North Fulton houses. The habit that stuck from year one: measure everything yourself, then quote.
2019
We become a manufacturer
Window treatments stop being something we buy and become something we make. Production lines in Korea, China, Vietnam and Turkey, and the first container of our own blinds, shades, curtains and drapes lands in the US.
2022
Hotels, schools and Houston
Project work becomes the core of the business — hotels and schools, fitted out floor by floor — and Lone Star Shade Co. opens on Westheimer Road to serve Greater Houston.
2026
The Shades House
The same factories, the same product and the same crew, sold one house at a time. The residential brand opens its floor on Atlanta Road in Cumming, for Atlanta and North Georgia.

Factory to your window, one company the whole way.
We make it, we measure for it, we install it. No distributor in the middle, no subcontracted installer turning up with a product they have never fitted, and nobody asking you to measure your own windows.
Every number on the quote is a number.
Itemized by window, by product line, by option, plus a flat install fee per unit. If the price changes between the quote and the invoice, something went wrong on our side and we eat it.
Ask us what we'd put in our own house.
We'll tell you, and it usually isn't the most expensive one. We would rather sell you the right cellular shade than the wrong motorized Roman.
